I'm an experienced climate policy communications professional and a soon-to-be graduate student in the literary studies department of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Midwest-raised, West Coast-dazed, and in search of some heart-refreshing change, I pedaled solo from my five-years-home of Seattle to Oakland last summer (2017). You can read about some of that in posts like:
- my very official ten rules of bike touring, or
- that time I was hanging out with some strange dude and his chainsaw, or
- kinda how all this got started for me in the first place (parts A and B)...
This summer, I'm working on a farm in the charming city of Missoula, Montana, for the month of May, then biking off to snag those inland Pacific Northwest routes I had to forfeit due to heat waves and wildfires last year (because climate change, folks). I won't be blogging so much about this summer's adventures, in part because I want to focus on other writing.
Thanks for riding along with me.
